【SUFE校友学堂】后疫情时代的中国和世界经济研讨（英文讲座）

“SUFE校友学堂”简介

      “SUFE校友学堂”是2019年校友总会提出的三大服务校友行动计划之一，旨在满足广大校友终身学习的需求，整合校内学术、课程资源，为校友打造的线上和线下相结合的服务平台。线上“SUFE校友学堂”包括学校公开课、学术报告、培训课程、讲座论坛视频等内容。线下“SUFE校友学堂”旨在促进学院与境内区域备案校友组织的协同联动，结合相关校友组织年会或其他重要活动，让上财名师走进境内各区域备案校友组织。

    经过了长时间的准备，上财欧洲校友会终于推出了“开讲 ”论坛，来探讨中国以及世界的当前热点话题。本次讲座我们邀请了在世界三地的三位资深的经济研究专家来给我们带来精彩的第一讲，来研讨后疫情时代的中国和世界经济。

CHINA AND THE POST PANDEMIC WORLD ECONOMY

To start our long-planned “开讲” forum, SUFE European Alumni Association is collaborating with Warwick Finance Professional Network to bring you this event on China and the post-pandemic world economy!

As the world edges to put the pandemic behindus, the virus has not only changed how we think about the centralized office workplace, but also promoted profound transformations in many areas of the world economy. China has stayed ahead of the recovery curve, however, there are still many challenges facing China in this post-covid world.

TOPICS

· Is there still any room for collaboration between China and US?

· Will China be able to hold its competitiveadvantage in e-Commerce and meet its challenges in the advanced tech blockage?

· How will digital currencies play a role inChina’s long term development strategy?

· What are the trigger points we should bewatching closely?

We are connecting experts from three different parts of the world to give a balanced perspective on China. Our presenters are:

梁国勇 | Guoyong Liang

Senior Economist at United Nations

Dr. Guoyong Liang is a senior economist at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. As a major author of World Investment Report for more than a decade, he has rich experience in economic research and international cooperation. Dr. Liang has published widely, playing an important role in policy debates on global economic issues. He is the author or co-author of numerous scholarly books and papers and speaks frequently at major conferences.

Diana Choyleva

Chief Economist at Enodo Economics

Diana Choyleva is Chief Economist at Enodo Economics, an independent macroeconomic and political forecasting company she set up in 2016 to untangle complexity, challenge the consensus, and make sense of the future. Enodo’s focus is China, one of the most misunderstood economies in the world, yet one of the most important to figure out.

For 16 years prior, she worked at Lombard Street Research, most recently as Chief Economist and Head of Research. She is best known for her analysis of China, including the book she co-wrote in 2011, ‘The American Phoenix – and why China and Europe will struggle after the coming slump’.

孙昱 Sun Yu

金融时报的中国经济资深记者

Sun Yu is a Beijing-based economics reporter at the Financial Times. He covers China’s macro economy, finance, consumer industry and technology. Before moving to Beijing in 2019, he spent a decade working for FT Confidential Research, the intelligence unit under the business publication, in New York and Shanghai. At FTCR, he built a 10-person research team across China’s major commercial hubs and briefed western investors about the nation’s macro and industrial trends. He has master’s degrees from Columbia and NYU and completed undergraduate study at Fudan University.

Tornar Xiaotong Yang

JPMorgan，Moderator

Tornar Xiaotong Yang, manages the EMEA derivative pricing team at JPMorgan. He is an alumnus from Warwick Business School and since graduation joined the Warwick Finance Professional Network. He currently chairs the network which has more than 4700 members worldwide. He and the executive team organise regular events for its members across London. Thenetworks invited industry experts and senior leaders to discuss topics like alternative investment, real estate and algorithm trading.
